Whenever it’s possible, we’d rather restore and renew what’s already there: better for your home’s character, and better for the island we all share. And when new or custom work is the right call, we do that too — built to last, and built responsibly.
A note on heritage: JDH is open to heritage homes and considers them case by case. We do not market ourselves as heritage specialists, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out later.

Where a permit applies, the work proceeds under it with proper inspections. That protects your home’s value and your insurance.

Jonathan Hanson, a Red Seal carpenter with fourteen years renovating and finishing homes across Greater Victoria. He works directly with homeowners and brings in the trades a job needs; the crew varies with the project.
